&lt;p&gt;This virtual information session will provide an overview of the application process for the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) and guide families through the process of creating an AccessOAP account and navigating the family portal.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This session is designed for families, children, or youth with a new diagnosis, as well as those seeking information about the Ontario Autism Program and how to apply.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h2&gt;Foundations of Trauma&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;A psychoeducational workshop designed for parents and caregivers to learn about the impacts of trauma.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This includes aspects such as the types of trauma, common signs and symptoms following exposure to trauma, and how trauma impacts both the brain and the body.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Some basic grounding activities will also be taught, as ways to help those who have experienced trauma manage their strong emotions or traumatic memories in the moment.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;Please note, due to the sensitive nature of this subject matter, all participants are invited to leave their cameras off during the presentation if they are more comfortable to do so, to protect the confidentiality of all those attending.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h2&gt;Grief Workshop for Caregivers&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This workshop for parents and caregivers explores the complex state of grief and grieving.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Presented by Bethesda’s Chaplain and a Registered Psychotherapist, the process of grieving will be explored through multiple lenses, as well as highlighting the best ways to talk to children about grief and death, and how to support children who are grieving.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Additional information on where to find support around grief will also be shared.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This virtual information session will provide an overview of core clinical services and the supports they offer, the determination of needs process, and information on how to sign your Funding Agreement.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This session is designed for families who have recently been invited or are new to core clinical services.&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>Supporting Skill Development for Children with Down Syndrome (Tuesday, May 26, 2026)</title>

&lt;h2&gt;Supporting Skill Development for Children with Down Syndrome&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;We are pleased to offer a four-session group for parents/caregivers of children with Down syndrome who are between the ages of 2-12 years.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The group is designed to help parents learn how to teach their children new skills, to improve their abilities and to encourage desirable behaviour.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Parents will have an opportunity to develop and try out a plan to teach their children a new skill and to deal with minor misbehaviour.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Note: There is no charge for this program. Child care is not available during this time.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Space is limited.&lt;/p&gt;
