Respite Services and Your Role

This workshop will explore the importance of Respite for all families, with a variety of special needs and diagnoses: Every family needs a basic toolkit, which will help you to navigate your employer/employee relationship in an effective way to manage a healthy routine within your household and the community! Respite care provides short-term relief for primary caregivers. It is a break or pause from your regular activities in life that can allow you as the caregiver to recharge, address your mental health needs and be all you can for your family.

Lynda Foote (nee Peacock) will be talking about her family and community experiences living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and those supports towards forward-thinking advocacy. Lynda will be highlighting experiences as it pertains to her family’s experience and also work within the Northern Ontario and Niagara regions for caregiver supports and ABA Interventionist Trainer focused on delivering Accessible Learning options.
