Dental Screening
Bethesda is partnering with Niagara Region Public Health to provide FREE dental screenings and fluoride varnish to the children who access services at Bethesda. These services are recommended to identify any urgent dental issues and to provide fluoride to help their teeth grow strong and reduce cavities. Niagara’s drinking water does not have fluoride added. It is recommended that children and infants have regular treatments from the time their first teeth appear. Fluoride varnish is a safe protective coating that is painted onto the child’s teeth with a tiny brush. The whole process takes approximately 30 seconds to complete.
Public Health is also able to link eligible children to free dental services through the Healthy Smiles Ontario program. Pre-registration required. Consent forms and info packages will be sent upon registration. A Bethesda staff will be in attendance to support your child.
