This group is designed for teens who have verbal communication skills and want to enhance their ability to engage in small talk.
Through structured activities and the use of supportive sentence frames, participants learn how to confidently initiate conversations, respond appropriately, maintain engagement, and gracefully end interactions.
Small talk is a foundational social skill that helps teens build relationships, make friends, and successfully navigate social settings in their community. By developing these skills, teens gain greater access to social opportunities, increase their sense of belonging, and improve their ability to participate in everyday life.
The group provides guided practice and constructive feedback in a welcoming environment, empowering teens to communicate more effectively and form meaningful connections with others.
Teens must be safe in group setting of 3 teens to 1 staff.
