Caregiver Educational Courses: Skill Enhancement Group for Parents of Children with Down Syndrome

We are pleased to offer a four-session group for parents/caregivers of children with Down Syndrome who are between the ages of 2-12 years. The group is designed to help parents learn how to teach their children new skills, to improve their abilities and to encourage desirable behaviour. Parents will have an opportunity to develop and try out a plan to teach their child a new skill and to deal with minor misbehaviour. Parents will be offered up to 3 in-home visits during and after the sessions to practice what they have learned with coaching from a clinician.
