Conversation Club

Ages 7-9 years

Conversation Club helps kids ages 7–9 build the early conversation skills that make friendships easier and more enjoyable.

Many children at this age are still figuring out how to start conversations, listen to others, and stay on track — and that’s exactly what this group supports. Through games, stories, and guided practice with peers, kids learn how to start conversations, respond to what others say, notice social cues, and fix small mix-ups along the way!

Children must be comfortable in a group setting of 3 children to 1 staff.

Many children at this age are still figuring out how to start conversations, listen to others, and stay on track — and that’s exactly what this group supports. Through games, stories, and guided practice with peers, kids learn how to start conversations, respond to what others say, notice social cues, and fix small mix-ups along the way!

By developing these skills, teens gain greater access to social opportunities, increase their sense of belonging, and improve their ability to participate in everyday life.

The group provides guided practice and constructive feedback in a welcoming environment, empowering teens to communicate more effectively and form meaningful connections with others.

Coffee Chats are a parent support group in which parents/grandparents/guardians come together to learn, grow and find connections. This group is led by our Service Coordinator, Tonya White, and Lianne Wyatt, our Caregiver Engagement Lead, and runs throughout the year to offer emotional support to families.

It is an opportunity for families to meet and make meaningful connections with other families, including those who are just starting their journey in receiving a diagnosis. Families share and gain practical advice and insights from one another in a safe, non-judgmental space.
